“The products are packaged and shipped by the express company, as well as the input for the intelligent logistics equipment,” said Xiang Chaobin, Director of the Planning and Logistics Department of Youngor. According to estimates, it only takes 20 minutes for a package to be ordered and loaded. The processing capacity of the package has increased by over 30% compared to traditional manual labor, and the error rate is almost zero.

The entry of express delivery into the factory is just a microcosm of the continuous optimization of the industrial development environment by Ningbo Post in providing a solid foundation to support local economic development.

In recent years, the express delivery industry in Ningbo has achieved positive results in serving villages, factories, and even going global, highlighting the prosperity and vitality of the express delivery market and the continuous improvement of development quality and efficiency, as well as the vitality and resilience of economic development.

With the coming of the 55th World Post Day on October 9, the postal industry in Ningbo has achieved impressive results so far.

In the first three quarters of this year, Ningbo saw its total amount of postal services  exceeding 13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27%, which is about 15 percentage points higher than the average growth rate of Zhejiang Province, ranking first in the province in terms of growth rate. The express delivery business processing volume reached 2.6 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of over 20%.

The accelerated development is inseparable from the continuous improvement of the modern delivery service network system.

Since the beginning of this year, Ningbo has continuously improved its livelihood service system, modern market system, and international delivery system through the high-quality development of the express delivery industry in villages, factories, and the global market.

Ningbo has promoted the construction of a tri-level express logistics distribution system in counties, townships and villages, striving to involve express end service points in public services. The coverage rate of village-level postal logistics comprehensive service stations has exceeded 80%.

In addition, express delivery companies have been encouraged to open up green channels for agricultural products, and the city is equipped with nearly 200 cold chain terminals. So far this year, the sales revenue of agricultural products supported by express delivery in Ningbo has exceeded two billion yuan.

As one of the first pilot zones for integrated development of express delivery and manufacturing industries in China, Ningbo is making great efforts in promoting the integration of express delivery and manufacturing industries.

In the first half of this year, the daily average industrial output value supported by the express delivery industry exceeded two billion yuan. So far, the first national cold chain distribution center of China Resources NG Fung for agricultural products   has settled down in Ningbo, and the intelligent warehouse project of Firs, with an investment of 300 million yuan, has started construction.

Ningbo has promoted the cooperation between private enterprises and postal enterprises to accelerate the improvement of air transportation capacity.

Since the beginning of this year, three new sea routes to Japan and South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Australia have been opened. After customs supervision, mails from the whole province can be uniformly shipped out from Ningbo through the new routes. There have been five express cargo planes at Ningbo Airport, and the air express accounts for over 45% of the total cargo throughput at the airport.

The theme of this year’s World Post Day is “the 150th anniversary of promoting communication among countries and serving people of the world”, which fully reflects the important role of postal service, the world’s largest entity service network, in promoting world connectivity, creating and safeguarding a better life, serving economic and social development, and ensuring the stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain.
